it's not wrong. we love q-tips in my household. we insert them into our children's ears too. don't tell CPS.
Apparently, you can push a big wad of earwax into your ear canal. Of course, not if you use Q-Tips regularly!!! You're also not supposed to eat toothpaste, but little kids (i.e. me) do it all the time.
